Still catching up...

Pioneer Day Weekend
For Pioneer Day weekend a group of us decided to camp down in Cedar City and then drive to Zion's National Park and hike for the day. It was a really fun and interesting drive down in the pretty ancient camper that Josh's parents were nice enough to let us take. Then we had a nice campout in Cedar, it was a really pretty campground. Then the next day we went down to Zions and we hiked the Narrows. It was a great hike for a nice hot July day because most of the hike is through water. It was really fun, and really long! The only downside to this weekend was on the drive back we had only made it past Cedar City, when the camper we were in died on us... so instead of getting home really late/early Sunday morning, we sat outside of Cedar City from about 9 until about 5... We made it home just in time to shower and get ready for church. It was quite an interesting weekend and our group got much closer than we ever expected when we spend like 8 hours crammed into a little camper... all 12 of us!

Our group at the campsite

At the campsite before leaving for Zion's, little did we know this was kind of foreshadowing the rest of our weekend...

After getting out of Zion's we survived the hike! Sadly we have no pictures from the hike because the one camera that we took with us into the park broke on the way up the mountain when it was dropped in the bus.

Kevin and Matt leaving
Kevin and Matt were two more guys from my freshman ward who left for their missions this summer. We were lucky enough to get to see them before they left. We all went to Wyview and got to see some of our old Bishopric and have some yummy treats. Then the boys suggested that we all sing some hymns together before we left because that is what we used to spend a little time after ward prayer each week doing. It was a really neat experience, and we were all really happy to be able to be a part of it.

No touching...

Matt and Kevin are going to be amazing missionaries! (Matt is now serving in the Orem Mission, and Kevin is going to Tijuana, Mexico)
I just liked this picture of Matt, so I thought that I would include it.

Roommate Pictures
Before the summer ended, Lizzy, Jeni, and I decided that we wanted to take some time and go take some pictures together. Josh was nice enough to go with us to take pictures. We went in front of the Administration Building to take them, and we got some really great ones. There were pretty flowers, nice grass, and a lovely fountain.

Josh joined us for a picture.

I don't know why but it seems like anytime that I am taking pictures with friends we have a classic jumping picture. It is kind of fun to do, I guess that must be why we like to do them!
