Happy Birthday

So I know that today is almost over, but I can't let today pass without telling everyone about the amazing woman that was born today...I won't tell you how many years ago... My mom, Elizabeth Smith Lund is so incredible, and I am so blessed to have her as my mother. I just really love her and I want everyone to know how much she means to me. I want to share with you some of the amazing things that I love about my mom.

She looks like she was a pretty cool little girl...
She is extremely beautiful.

She married my dad in the temple, for time and all eternity in the Mesa temple so that all of us could be blessed to be born in the covenant.

Her and my dad have taught us all so well, so that we all wanted to be baptized (this is from Kiersty's baptism, I am the littlest one)

She always took time to spend time with me individually.
She takes time to go to activities with us.
I am only sharing this picture so that you can understand just how wonderful my mom is. This picture was taken after I had my first experience in the hospital since I was born. I had to have an emergency appendectomy when I was a sophomore in high school, which only happened as well as it did because my mom made me go to the emergency room when she did. She listened to what the Spirit was telling her and she followed the promptings by making me go to the hospital and get checked out. This allowed them to catch what was wrong before my appendix burst. She then spent the entire night with me in the emergency room while we waited to find out what was wrong with me. Then she waited for me while I went to the operating room for my surgery, and then waited for me while I was in the recovery room. Then she waited in my hospital room while I slept, and was with me until Megan came to take over just long enough for Mom to shower and then she came back to stay with me like the rest of the day. I think I finally convinced her to go home that night, but it was pretty hard to do. She stayed with me as long as she could after I got home, and then when she had to go back to work, she felt really bad about leaving me at home. Basically this long story is to tell you all how my mom is completely caring, she loves me a lot, and she is always aware, and willing to help me in any way that she can. She is also very in tune with the Spirit.
My mom is very supportive. She came to every concert I think I ever had, and she was always waiting for me after to tell me how good I did.
Once again she supports me in all that I do, whether it is coming to watch, selling tickets, helping with costumes, being part of the choir council, etc. Anytime that she could help out she was there even if she was super busy with other things!
Mom helped me and also supported me as I worked to get my Young Womanhood Medallion. This is the night that I finally made it through and got my medallion.
She always encouraged me to do well in school, even though she encouraged good grades, she understood, and still does understand when I did not do as well as I could.

She has always encouraged us to stay close as a family, and to this day my sisters are my best friends, as are my parents.I always know that she loves me even when I make mistakes, or have problems. She never lets me feel as if I am not special and loved and for that I love her so much.

Now Mom is an amazing grandmother to this adorable baby!
