Summertime!

Summer started off with me moving out of my apartment after a year...sometimes I thought it would never come...anyway, I was very glad to be heading out of Provo for the summer so it was good to be moving out! My last day in Provo I got all of my stuff off, had a visit from Brother Perkins (the stake high council man from my freshman ward) who was nice enough to pick up my bike to keep it for me for the summer. After this was taken care of I went to sign a contract for a place to live the next year. I found a great deal on a basement apartment about 2 blocks north of campus and I am really excited to see how it works out next year! Once that was done I had to find a way to spend the rest of my day so I headed to campus to keep busy for a while. Because of graduation everything was closing early so I ran out of things to do while I waited for Kiersty and Seth to get off of work so I called Alyssa and spent like two hours hanging out with her and catching up before we both left for the summer. When Kiersty and Seth got done with work, they came and picked me up from Alyssa's then I headed up to Lehi with them to stay the night. Ellen and Steve and the kids came over for a little while that night to see me before I left, it was weird how sad I was feeling saying bye to them considering I would be back to see them in just a few months but I guess thinking of how much they are going to change in the next few months was what made me a bit sad. Anyway, Bridgit and I planned to leave late morning to head to Flagstaff (she had to pick up her dress before we could leave so she had to wait until they were open) We had a nice drive down but oddly enough considering it was almost May we had the worst weather we had had so far in one of our trips which was strange since our other two trips down to Flag were in November and December. We made it safe and sound and when we got there we were both exhausted...I think it was the combination of late nights catching up to us since I think during finals week both of us had had at least one all nighter if not more...So we started Avatar that night with her brother and sister-in-law but neither of us made it through the movie. It was kind of sad to say goodbye the next morning because I knew the next time I saw Bridgit she would no longer be Bridgit Harris, she would be Bridgit Terry...it was also sad because it was our last road trip together. I was very excited to get to see my mom though! (and my dad a little later in the day!) So I drove down the rest of the way with my mom and had the next two weeks to look forward to just hanging out at home and calming down after all of the craziness of finals!

This is Walter, Bridgit's trusty car that got me home safe and sound 3 times!
The day that I got home I got to wander the temple grounds while Mom and Dad went with Brenda and Dave through the temple. Brenda and Dave got married my junior or senior year of high school and now they have had the opportunity to go through the temple to be sealed to one another for time and all eternity. Jenny, Aunt Brenda's daughter chose to go through the temple with them so that she could be sealed to them as well. It was a very special day for their family and they were all so happy to be able to do such a special thing.
My cousin Jeni Fenstermaker and her husband and family moved to Mesa a little while after my parents and I did. This is her son Joshua who I babysat many times while I was still in high school. He doesn't always remember who I am right away but it doesn't take long til he is my best friend again!
He is especially willing to be my best friend when he discovers that I have a cool thing like a camera to play with!
Some weird pictures but he had fun taking different ones!
Heidi, Ri and I have to take advantage of anytime that I have in Mesa because it doesn't come around too often since I've gone to school....
this trip home because it wasn't for very long and because it was Prom time in Mesa we didn't have a lot of time to get together so we ended up just going to dinner at Costa Vida and chatting for a few hours. It was great to spend time with these two and just to hear more about their lives as of late...
I wish that we could see each other more often but we do have lots of fun in the time that we do find for each other...I'm also working on convincing them to come to Provo to visit me this year!

Drake is one of my very favorite people from high school! I know he has been seen on my blog before and it is because any time that I go home, if he is around I can't help but meet up with him to see how he is doing! He is pretty amazing and I'm so blessed to have a friend as great as him!

After a few weeks at home it was time to leave and head to Austin for Mother's Day weekend and for the rest of the summer...I will do that post next so that this one is not insanely long!
