Well, since I've been here I have gotten to do a lot of different things and a lot of fun things, mostly both!
Babysitting
San Antonio!
My friend Bridgit got married this summer and I was really sad when I realized she would be getting married in Mesa and I would not be there to see it...however I was really excited when I realized that her fiance (now husband) was from San Antonio which meant that I could take a cool trip to San Antonio and that I could go to the reception there!

We didn't have a lot of time before the reception but the main thing I wanted to see while in San Antonio was the Alamo because I have not been there before. I have been told that the Alamo is not all that exciting and that it is kind of a let down when you actually see it, but I really liked going there to see it. I thought that it was beautiful, smaller than I ever expected it to be but still amazing considering all that happened there.

Me, Bridgit and Matt at their reception. It was so fun to get to see them, and so fun to get to see them so happy together!

Bridgit was a beautiful bride!!
Ashley!
Ashley and Mhari have been friends for longer than I can remember so basically Ashley has been like another sister to me. Since we left Texas I have only seen Ashley 4 times, at Mhari's wedding, Kiersty's graduation from Law School, and two times this summer. The first time that I saw Ash was when we went to Lubbock for Mhari's brother-in-law's 40th birthday bash. She was nice enough to entertain me for the night and take me around for some fun while Mhari and James were at the party. The second time Ashley came to Austin with some of her friends, we had dinner with them one night and then Saturday her and her friends were going to float the river down in San Marcos and she was nice enough to invite me to go along. It was so much fun, even though I got completely fried! I guess I probably should have worn more sunscreen, but I didn't think about it enough...next time if there ever is a next time I will know better! It was really fun to get to see Ash a few times this summer!

Possom Kingdom
Mhari and James invited me along with them to Possum Kingdom where we met up with James's parents and brother and sister-in-law and niece and nephews. It was so fun to be on the lake but it would have been a lot more fun if I was not completely fried from the day before. Even though I was fried I was much more careful with sunscreen at the lake and I kind of hid under a towel and I still had a really great time!
And this little guy had a blast! Plus he looked so cute in all his lake get up!
Dan (Mhari's brother-in-law) and I went tubing together, but because of my sunburn I couldn't handle it as well as I have in the past! It was still tons of fun though!
Rachel
Rachel and I were FHE sisters our freshman year and it just so happened that we both ended up near Austin this summer nannying for our sisters. We didn't know that this was happening until after we had both gotten there and were talking about our summers and each realized that we were talking about the same area...it was kind of a fun realization! We decided to take advantage of the closeness and we went to the same ward together when we were both around for church, and we took two Monday nights (since it was kind of a pain to get to FHE together) and had a few girl's nights instead. One night we went to see Letters to Juliet at the dollar theater and another time we ran to the outlet malls for an hour or so...in the rain...just because and just to get out of the house for a little bit. It was so much fun to have her close and to get to hang out with her sometimes!

Way to condense most of the summer. Still have a couple more posts and you can get it all done. :-) Oh and Andrew misses his Auntie Brittany.....guess that means you have to come back now. And funny thing....I just had the Scott's over tonight and McKinley and Kylie saw your pic I put in Andrew's room and they were like hey she babysat us lol. Funny kids.
You are too cute!!! My kids loved having you here and had sooo much fun!!! Thanks again :)
Dear Brittany,
Thanks for your great report of your summer.
I guess you are back at BYU now and celebrating your 20th Birthday. I hope it has been an extra special one.
Congratulations and very best wishes. It was really fun to see you this summer.
