The last few days of Texas

While I knew that saying good bye at the end of the summer was going to be really hard, I never really realized how hard it would be. I had an absolutely wonderful time there and in some ways I didn't want to leave at all, especially to have to go back to the daily grind that is my life during school, and especially when it meant having to say good bye to this cute face, and having to miss out on making him laugh each day and seeing him get excited to see me, it was especially hard knowing that while I have such wonderful memories of our time together he will not remember them the next time I see him (or ever) but life had to go on. I had to go back to school and back to my own life. It was much harder than I realized it would be because I had gotten so much closer to Mhari and James in the three months I was there, and it was hard because this little guy had stolen a piece of my heart and I didn't want to leave that piece behind, but I've survived it (with just a few tears) and I can't wait to see him again in a little over a month!

My favorite little jailbird!

The evening before I left Mhari, James, Andrew and I met up with a photographer and had a little photo shoot so that we could have some good pictures of their cute little family, Andrew, Andrew and I, and Mhari and I. It was so fun and although he was not always paying attention or smiling, we got some really great pictures of him! I know that most people will disagree because they think that their baby is the cutest, or any baby related to them is the cutest, but I'm pretty sure that this little one is the cutest baby ever! I just love him so much!! There are kind of a lot I know, but I just couldn't narrow it down anymore because I had so many that I just loved!

This is one of my absolute favorite pictures ever! I love his rosy cheeks and big grin!

This one is one of my favorites because it is such an excellent portrayal of one of Andrew's favorite things to do to me...pull my hair!

Basically if you haven't figured this out already, I love Texas, I loved my summer, I love my brother-in-law James (sometimes), I love my big sister Mhari an awful lot, and I can't get enough of my nephew because he is adorable and completely wonderful, I just love him more than I can really express!
