On Halloween it was such a beautiful day out and it was Stake Conference so we got out of church early...just a little insert Stake Conference was amazing, Elder Robert D. Hales came to our stake and gave one of the most heartfelt talks that I have ever heard. He really touched me that day through his message and through his completely evident love for each of us there. Before the conference started they announced that after it was over he would be leaving before any of us could leave because he needed to get to another place quickly. After the closing prayer, which was about ten minutes late because he kept talking and admitted he didn't want to leave, he stood back at the pulpit and told all of us that he really didn't want to leave without shaking each of our hands but that he had been told by some of the other members of the 12 and the First Presidency that he was getting too old to do so. He then expressed his great love for us and I really felt like he was talking directly to me. Marissa had gotten there early so that she could save some good seats and Christina and I made it there before she had to give them up so we had excellent seats in the chapel. Anyway, I've been in the same place as apostles before, Robert D. Hales is the only apostle I have ever shaken hands with (at a CES Fireside my freshman year) but that day, in that special stake conference I have never felt my Savior's love so strongly...Now for the rest of this post, we had been talking as roommates about going out and taking some pictures together for a while but we hadn't had a chance to do so until Halloween came around. By that time it was so beautiful out but we were afraid if we waited any longer it would be too cold and nasty out to take them so we decided not to put them off any longer. Here are some of the best ones...and by some I mean too many but I couldn't narrow it down anymore! (Matt Mitchell, a friend of ours from the ward was nice enough to come and take the pictures for us!)
