Well, some of you might have noticed that I have been absent from the blogging world for a while...my computer broke during finals week like three months ago and I have been computerless until this week when my computer finally returned to me! In honor of my computer finally returning to me I have decided to do one quick run through of what has been going on and then I am going to move forward and start blogging from today on to hopefully avoid getting so far behind again!

First of all I did the Festival of Colors this year. The Festival of Colors or the Holi Festival is held in Spanish Fork every year at the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple. While this is my third year at BYU, right down the road from Spanish Fork, this is the first year that I made it to the festival and it was so incredible. I believe that the festival is a celebration of the start of spring so it is like the third Saturday every March. This is one of my favorite pictures from the day...plus it's the only one that I have on my computer...Marissa has all the good pictures. I've had a lot of friends getting married recently, which meant that winter semester I had a lot of bridal showers, receptions, etc.
First was James's wedding, James is my cousin Mike's oldest son. The best part about the wedding reception was that I got to see Marie, James's younger sister. I love her!

Then there was Chantelle's bridal shower. Chan was in my freshman ward so going there was fun because I got to spend some time with friends from that ward.

One fun thing about this bridal shower was that I was reunited with all three of my roommates from freshman year. Lacey (right next to me) is also getting married soon...or maybe she already is...anyway her bridal shower was just a few days later.

One wedding reception I got to go to was Merry Jo Liddell's I didn't get a picture on my camera with MJ so I've just got pictures with Jedera and Mama and Papa Liddell as proof that I was there!
The other thing we had a few of in our apartment were birthdays. Emily's birthday was on Valentine's day and then Marissa's birthday was a few weeks later on March 3rd. I also made a cake for Clint on his birthday and Nikki's surprise party was at our house so that we could watch the basketball game that day.

For Emily's birthday we made her a cake with the Senegal flag on it because she went to Senegal at the beginning of the summer.

We thought our cake was pretty sweet...other than the botched star in the middle!
Roomies! I love these girls...even though we'll all only be roommates for like two more weeks (cause then Jenae's going home for a few weeks and then getting married!!)

For Marissa's birthday we made her a princess cake because Marissa loves princesses!
We also put up the poster you can see on the side of this picture and covered up one of the princesses name with Marissa's name.

Clint's request for a cake was a yellow cake with chocolate frosting...I have never made chocolate frosting but I wanted to try it and I have to admit my frosting job was pretty great!
Because we had just celebrated Marissa's birthday we had all the lovely princess cake pieces so we shared them with Clint and he loved it!!
Clint felt like directing our singing of happy birthday
We were lucky the smoke alarm didn't go off!
